Maim E. Van Gore'n

"It's always the quiet ones..."
Maim E. Van Gore'n is as unassuming as her name is long. Born
in filth to a negligent mother and an absentee father, Maim
E. was mostly left to her own devices during her despondent
youth. Her pabulum was television, more precisely, horror
movies. Unfortunately for poor Maim E., early exposure to
violence had an ill affect on her developing psyche. With
no positive influences in her life, she emulated the only
people who’d ever been a constant presence in her life.
Those people just happened to be serial killers and deviants.
With no social skills and a keen desire to
take people apart and see how they work, Maim E. slipped quietly
through life and just as quietly into derby. She appeared
at the rink one rainy evening and began skating without a
word to anyone. At first no one even noticed the inconspicuous
addition; in fact it seemed as if she’d always been
there, encased in silent intensity. No one knows exactly where
she goes when nothing derby related is happening, but rumor
has it that she lurks in the aisles of local video stores
searching for gorier and gorier films to feed her need for
blood. A need that derby satisfies quite nicely...for now.
