Poisonous Butterfly
#.08 BAC
Sting like a butterfly, a hurtin’ you will
be -
The saga of Poisonous Butterfly:
The illegitimate daughter of a former Vietnam War protestor
and a notoriously bloodthirsty Army drill sergeant, a precocious
young girl was named Butterfly because of her natural grace
and ability to attract the small, beautiful creatures. Butterfly
was raised in a hippie commune while her mother did her best
to quash her abnormally violent tendencies - the one thing
that proved her real heritage. As a 10-year-old, her mother
brought Butterfly along on a protest at a local environmentally-unsound
power plant. When the police showed up with their riot gear,
Butterfly came out of nowhere and, consumed with an unheard-of
rage, single-handedly knocked two SWAT team officers to the
ground before being handcuffed herself. Not knowing what to
do with a 10-year-old assault suspect, the police let her
go while holding her mother in custody. Butterfly wandered
back to the commune, but was shunned by the members due to
her violent tendencies.
She spent the next few years as a nomad, until one bitterly
cold winter, Butterfly found herself in Ohio. A skate shop
owner took pity on the barefoot hippie girl and gave her a
pair of roller skates, which served as her transportation
across the country. For 10 years she wandered across the United
States, Canada, and Mexico, working odd jobs, skating as her
main form of transportation, and fending off would-be attackers.
Eventually, she ended up back in Ohio and decided to try and
find the kind skate shop owner who had provided her with her
first skates years ago. He gave her a new pair of skates with
the fastest wheels he could find, and told her about the Gem
City Rollergirls. At last, Butterfly found a place to balance
her skating ability and natural grace with her propensity
for violence. Some still know Butterfly as the young girl
from the hippie commune, yet she surprises them all with her
poisonous side.
